| Proper care will keep your jewelry looking just like new!
Keep your jewelry in a compartmentalized jewelry box or keep it individually wrapped. This protects
against pieces scratching each other. The plastic bags we provide are perfect for storing your jewelry!
Remove jewelry before showering, using cleaning chemicals or applying make-up or hairspray. Soap film makes
jewelry appear dull and dingy, please be sure to rinse your jewelry well after using soap.
Karat Gold
Using a soft chamois cloth regularly keeps your gold lustrous and shining.
To clean gold, we recommend Hagerty Jewel Clean for a safe and convenient solution. A "do-it-yourself" solution combines soapy water with a few drops of ammonia. Clean gently with a soft-bristled brush and rinse in lukewarm water.
Cubic Zirconia
To clean cubic zirconia, we recommend Hagerty Jewel Clean for a safe and convenient solution. Or, you could use soapy water, but be sure to rinse well.
Sterling Silver
We recommend Hagerty Silver Jewel Clean to polish sterling silver. A polishing cloth is also handy for quick touch-ups.
Pearls
Glass-based pearls have layers of nacre, similar to cultured pearls, and so should be treated similarly. Wipe pearls down with a slightly damp (not wet), soft cloth or use Hagerty Delicate Jewel Clean.
Minaudieres and Pillboxes
Do not use water or any solvent to clean minaudieres or pillboxes. Use a slightly damp, soft cloth and wipe gently. |
